Ted Gärdestad, born on February 18, 1956, was a Swedish singer, composer, musician, and actor. He rose to fame as a teenager in the 1970s and quickly became one of Sweden's most beloved pop artists. Together with his brother Kenneth Gärdestad, who wrote the lyrics to most of his songs, he created several timeless classics.
