Biography
Born in 1952, Ângela Vieira is an actress, dancer and choreographer. In the 1970s, she left the Corpo de Baile do Municipal do Rio de Janeiro to pursue an acting career. She debuted on Globo with appearances in the humorous Planeta dos Homens (1978) and Chico Anysio Show (1979). She also began to work in cinema and theater, with performing arts and dance shows. In soap operas, there were several prominent characters. Among them, the ambitious Mara from Corpo Santo (1987), the submissive Irene from A Idade da Loba (1995), the betrayed Virgínia from Por Amor (1997), the bitter Janete from Terra Nostra (1999), the elegant Gisela de Senhora do Destino (2004), among others. The most recent works were in Pega Pega (2017) and Bom Sucesso (2019). She has been married to journalist Miguel Paiva since 2004. Before that, she lived with actor Roberto Frota from 1983 to 1997, father of her only daughter, Nina.
