Biography
Soheir El Morshedy is an Egyptian actress. She was born in 1946 in the city of Tanta, and then moved with her family to Cairo. Her acting talent started showing up during high school, and she then went on to study acting and directing at the High Institute of Theatrical Arts, and started her professional career in the late 1960s, through small roles in films like "El Bostagy" (The Postman), and she rose to prominence in the 1970's, and began to get cast in her most notable major roles in films like "Banat fel Gamaa" (Girls In University), "Awdet Al-Ibn Al-Dal" (The Return of the Prodigal Son). She is also best known for her television work, which includes roles in "Arabesque" and "Layaly Elhelmeyya" (Elhelmeyya Nights).
