Biography
Duncan Regehr (born October 5, 1952) is a Canadian multimedia artist and actor known for his commanding presence and versatility in film, television, and stage roles. He began his performing career as a champion figure skater and a classically trained Shakespearean stage actor in Canada before moving to Hollywood in 1980. Regehr is best known for his starring role as Don Diego De La Vega/Zorro in the Family Channel television series "Zorro" (1990–1993), as well as his appearances in shows like "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine". Beyond acting, Regehr is a highly accomplished painter with international exhibitions and has received honors such as the Royal Canadian Artist designation from the Royal Canadian Academy of Art in 2000, along with an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Victoria.
